Who knows why some people fall into the coffee club and others go for tea. Even in spite of a national disposition one way or the other, people do seem to make up their own minds regarding what they favor.
One of the ancient
kitchen and cooking arts, people have been brewing tea since the day we learned to boil water. People probably started making teapots the next day.
If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone who enjoys tea, think about a unique tea pot. Oh, they’ve already got a couple of them so… So they’re already beginning a collection. Give them a unique tea pot.
Your gift recipient probably already has a nice bone china of porcelain teapot. Perhaps they’ve got and electric kettle, an electric pot designed especially for boiling water quickly for making tea of any other purpose.

If you’re thinking about something they likely don’t have but that’s very functional, consider a glass teapot with glass or stainless steel infuser. Thinking of something that’s one of a kind? How about a Japanese tetsabin. It’s a small flattened oval cast iron teapot. They were highly valued in Japan centuries ago. Only the richest people had them and passed them down, generation to generation. Modern models are ceramic lined to avoid rust problems.

These aren’t actually made of clay, but rather a stone paste or mud, they’re formed, fired and then hand carved. They hold heat very well and over time they become infused with the aroma of the tea brewed in them.
Wood fish stone or wood grained jade teapots are handmade of stone from China. They are typically Chinese pottery in design, usually rust in color, appearing like red sandalwood stone. Each one is an individual work of art. If well cared for, they’re timeless.
