Wicker Baskets – Create a Baby Nursery Old English Style

Wicker basket decor and Winnie the Pooh decoration can combine to make an innovative and unique room for your little babe.

If you want to decorate your nursery for your soon-to-be-born baby, then you’ve probably considered decorating it with Winnie the Pooh accessories that would match a baby boy or baby girl’s room. At the early stages of your baby’s few days in the nursery, you should have an area for changing his diapers. And for this you would need wicker baskets to hold such things as diapers and safety pins.  The look of white or natural brownish wicker goes well with baby’s furniture.

Winnie the Pooh is a tale that many recall from childhood, and it’s a sweet story to read to your baby, too. Winnie the Pooh décor is a sweet option for a newborn’s room, and wicker baskets set off the style just perfectly.

Wicker baskets made from natural fibers are preferred by many these days over plastic ones.
They are considered a green alternative. When objects are in wicker, the wicker lets things breathe, and lets air circulate. Aside from that, wicker baskets are light and convenient to carry around. You could place your baby’s wicker laundry basket in the living room as you fold baby clothes, and  while you do the chores of picking up baby equipment, or you could bring it into your own bedroom as well. It’s like having a portable baby cargo basket. (Who ever knew babies had so much baby stuff!)

You could choose wicker baskets to match your wooden furniture’s finish. You don’t have to worry so match with the blankets and the lining it comes with because you could easily replace them with a new one. After all, soiled beddings need to be replaced regularly anyway, so it would also be a good idea to stock on extra Winnie the Pooh bedding and baby blankets.

In purchasing Winnie the Pooh touches and wicker baskets, be sure to keep safety in mind.  Baskets should be up and out of baby’s reach. Make sure to check if the size of the baskets is sufficient to hold the baby clothes you have in mind. Consider as well that your baby will grow significantly fast in the first few stages of his life, so your Pooh crib accessories may transition to a toddler bed. Make sure that the baskets are well-made and there are no loose pieces. Aside from this, make sure that the linen and bed sheets included are soft and warm enough for your baby to make sure that he would have a nice and long sleep while he is surrounded by his Winnie the Pooh and wicker basket English-style room.
